These terms apply to the 100 Bites iPhone app and this website, both made by meetbibi. By using either, you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the app.
The app is also licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where that agreement and these terms conflict, Apple's wins.
What 100 Bites is
100 Bites is a record-keeping and ideas app for parents and carers introducing solid foods to a baby. It suggests foods, records what you offered and how it went, and shows you what you have covered.
What 100 Bites is not
This is the important part, so it is not in small print.
100 Bites does not provide medical advice. It does not diagnose, prevent, treat or predict any condition, including food allergy. It is not a medical device. It is not a substitute for your GP, health visitor, paediatrician, dietitian or allergy specialist, and nothing in it should be used in place of advice from one.
The food information in the app is drawn from public health guidance for introducing solid foods, and the sources are named and linked inside the app. Guidance differs between countries and changes over time, and your baby's circumstances are specific to them. Always confirm anything consequential with a health professional — and speak to one before introducing allergens if there is a family history of allergy or eczema, if your baby has eczema, or if there has been any previous reaction to a food.
Choking is a real risk when feeding infants. The preparation guidance in the app is general and cannot account for your baby. Never leave a baby unattended while eating.
You are responsible for what you feed your child. We are not.
100 Bites+ subscriptions
Some features require 100 Bites+, available as an annual auto-renewing subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- An annual subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID settings after purchase, at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
- The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment with no renewal.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, under Apple's own terms.
If a subscription lapses, nothing you have already recorded is deleted or hidden. Children you added stay, foods you logged stay logged, and your history remains yours. Only forward-looking features stop.
Your data
Everything you record lives on your own device. Because there is no account and no server copy, we cannot recover your data if you lose or reset your phone, and losing the device means losing the records unless you have a device backup or have used the Export feature in Settings. Please use it.
How data is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or interfere with the app beyond what the law expressly permits, resell or redistribute it, or use it to build a competing product. Do not use the app in a way that breaks the law.
Our content
The app, the website, the food guidance, the Bibi character and all associated designs and text are owned by meetbibi and protected by copyright. Using the app does not transfer any of that to you. Your own records — your children, your notes, your photos — are entirely yours, and we have no claim over them.
Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue features. We will not remove access to records you have already made. If we ever discontinue the app entirely, we will give notice in the app and the Export feature will keep working so you can take your data with you.
Liability
The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, you keep all your statutory rights, and nothing here affects them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Japan have exclusive jurisdiction — except where consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
